Natulius CD burner does not accept my 700Mb CD-R disks
When I try to burn anything to cd, I get a message to insert a CD large enough for my file (normally an ISO image). Doesn't matter if the iso image is a 600Mb Centos ISO or a 48Mb DSL ISO. Same warning. My CD-Rs are Memorex 700MB/80min 52x disks that work just fine on XP systems. So what am I missing configuration-wise?

System started crashing hard after zpool reconfigure and OI upgrade
.... I upgraded the memory on both systems to 128GB at no avail. This is the max memory they can take. In summary all I did is upgrade to OI 151.a.7 and reconfigured zpool. Any idea what could be the problem. ZFS vs UFS2 overhead and may be a bug?
[originally reported for ZFS on FreeBSD but Pawel Jakub Dawid says this problem also exists on Solaris hence this email.] Summary: on ZFS, overhead for reading a hole seems far worse than actual reading from a disk. Small buffers are used to make this overhead more visible. I ran the following script on both ZFS and UF2 filesystems. [Note that on FreeBSD cat uses a 4k buffer and md5 uses a 1k

[RFC] - Deduplication of debug information in linkers (LLD).
Hi all ! We have an issue with LLD, it is "relocation R_X86_64_32 out of range" (PR31109) which occurs during resolving relocations in debug sections. It looks happens because .debug_info section can be too large sometimes and 32x relocation is not enough to represent the value. One of possible solutions looks to be to deduplicate information to reduce .debug_info size. The rest of mail contains information about experiments I did, the obtained results and some questions and suggestions as well. I was investigating idea to...

package bit64 with new functionality
...onal caching method. In an example R session using a couple of these operations the 64-bit integers performed 22x faster than base 32-bit integers, hash-caching improved this to 24x amortized, sortorder-caching was most efficient with 38x (caching both, hashing and sorting is not worth it with 32x at duplicated RAM consumption). Since the package covers the most important functions for (univariate) data exploration and data management, I think it is now appropriate to claim that R has sound 64-bit integer support, for example for working with keys or counts imported from large databases....

Speex RTP profile
If I use SDP, or SIP, or H.32x, I would have my total headers length increased, making it harder to fit payload and headers all together in the GPRS bandwidth (9.6Kbps). So I would like, if possible, to avoid using nothing but RTP/UDP/IP. Juan. El vie, 20-01-2006 a las 08:03 -0800, Duane Storey escribi?: > You generally neg...

Polycom Park by EFK
Has anyone gotten one-touch call parking to work on Polycom phones via the Enhanced Feature Keys feature working? I've looked at various examples, they appear correct, but the phones (501, 3.1.x firmware) show the Park button while in a call but this does not actually cause the call to be parked. Doing a SIP debug, I don't see that anything is transmitted as a result of pressing the call
