IAX crackilng
I apologize about doubling these up, I forgot the subject! I have a cisco VPN from router to router over a Data T-1. The ping times are consistently 32ms with random ping responses of 295ms -408ms about every 30 secs to a minute, I have jitter buffer enabled. The connection goes like this... Mitel SIP phone to Asterisk A, IAX trunked to Asterisk B and then T-1 to a PBX, the calls are internal so they are terminating on Toshiba digital phones. Loud c...

Server Side AEC
Hi Jean-Marc, Regarding you points: 1) Is it ok if the audio is encoded (using Nelly Moser ASAO) and sent to the client and decoded when it is recevied so the AEC is always performed on raw PCM16 8KHZ ? 2) The audio is moved in 32ms (512 byte) chunks and the reading and writing to the AEC code will be done by separate threads at regular 32 ms intervals. 3) Occasionaly audio is dropped if it has become delayed but a jitter buffer of 120ms is in use. People at different distances from the server will have a slightly dif...

Some echo?
I have a 12 channel PRI with SNOM 190's and asterisk CVS from January. Most calls are fine, all incoming calls are fine, but I am getting echo on a significant number of outgoing calls. The person on the other side hears a perfect call, but the SIPphone side gets to hear themselves. It happens 100% of the time to some numbers (outgoing only), and only sporadically to others. Has anyone

Server Side AEC
Hi, I am looking for AEC software which can be run on the server side. This means there will be a fairly constant 600ms or so gap between sending out an audio frame and getting it back with echo. Could Speex AEC be configured to handle these conditions? If so, how good can I expect it to be? Thanks --------------------------------- Yahoo! Mail is the world's

set zfs:zfs_vdev_max_pending
We have a zpool made of 4 512g iscsi luns located on a network appliance. We are seeing poor read performance from the zfs pool. The release of solaris we are using is: Solaris 10 10/09 s10s_u8wos_08a SPARC The server itself is a T2000 I was wondering how we can tell if the zfs_vdev_max_pending setting is impeding read performance of the zfs pool? (The pool consists of lots of small files).

Ok, the Zhone sucks and the Adtran 750/850 seems to be a little too expensive. Can anyone recommend a decent channelbank that won't break the bank? TIA, -- Troy Settle Pulaski Networks http://www.psknet.com 540.994.4254 ~ 866.477.5638 Pulaski Chamber 2002 Small Business Of The Year

Speex latency
Hi, What kind of latency is expected using 8,16,32 khz? I am trying to do a realtime stream server, and I am having latency above >500ms ( I capture the sound using the mic, encode it and send it to the client). I am using ALSA system, a SB128 PCI and a 800Mhz P3 . What can I do to lower the latency? I tried a test : arecord -t raw | speexenc - - | speexdec - and I found that I also have a 500
