[LLVMdev] VStudio project files
...For the windows side of my team's product, I use the VStudio project
files included in the LLVM tree (which are VStudio 2k3 files). I just
switched over to the SVN sources yesterday and spent some time working
with those project files to get things to build cleanly on my system.
We use VStudio 2k5, so I have to go through a conversion process which
may be the cause of some of the problems I've seen. I also needed to
add new files which have been added to the tree recently but which have
not been added to the VStudio project.
It's my understanding that the person who was maintain...

[LLVMdev] Is there someone tried LLVM 2.1 on Visual Studio 2005?
...st dependence on flex a little while back, so you
may not need that. I'm using bison 2.1 which I got from the getgnuwin32
folks. I imagine that if you have cygwin or the like, you probably
already have everything.
You will need to have the executables in your path.
I build with VisualStudio 2k5 Professional with VStudio SP1 installed.
I typically work on Vista32 or Vista64, but have compiled on XP as well.
I don't know how up to date the LLVM docs related to Visual Studio
compilation are.
Thanks,
Chuck.

[LLVMdev] Advice on a VStudio specific patch
Nope, it generates an error, not a warning-as-error. (LLVM generates a whole host of warnings when run through the VStudio STL implementation). I misspoke earlier about VStudio ignoring noreturn. I investigated further and found that the implementation of abort in VStudio 2k5 is not tagged noreturn, hence the error.
Thanks,
Chuck.

Hola Seung,
I don't know if 2.1 in particular worked. I updated the 2.2 win32
vstudio 2k5 files right before lockdown, so they should be building.
You will need appropriate versions of flex and bison installed. I used
the ones from getgnuwin32 on my machine.
Good luck.
Chuck.

[LLVMdev] Is there someone tried LLVM 2.1 on Visual Studio 2005?
Hello all,
Is there anyone has tried LLVM 2.1 on Visual Studio 2005?
I did but not succeed due to some build errors.
I seem to remember I read somewhere on this list it's compiled on VS2005 so I wonder...
Have a good night.
Thx,
Seung

The specified procedure could not be found - Init_win32api (LoadError)
...gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.1.12/lib/spec/

from C:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.1.12/bin/spec:4

I have no idea why this is failing. On my boxI have Visual Studio 2K5
installed. Not sure if is causing the problem. Please help me to get
rid of this issue.

[LLVMdev] Couple of changes (2005 and other toolchain related)
...king on the same problem yesterday, but I didn't
see those particular compiler errors. (I saw a couple of other ones for
which I submitted a patch).
I did see errors like the ones you saw with the CVS LLVM 2.0 sources a
while back, namely the missing < operator and the debug STL in VStudio
2k5, but those were fixed in the CVS trunk and were carried over to the
SVN tree.
I haven't sync'd to the SVN trunk in the last day and half. I'll do so
now and check.
Thanks,
Chuck.
