Local root vulnerability in udev
I just saw this thread in the OLM forum. Possibly of interest, since they say it includes CentOS 5, if the update hasn't been released yet. Always good to keep boxes updated, for security and stability reasons. <http://forums.olm.net/showthread.php?t=2137>

using link_to_remote to post form values
Hi, I have a website in which I am attempting to post certain form values back to my controller using link_to_remote. I need to do this without any additional form tags, as it is already within a larger form. I have found a mod that i think would do this @ http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/2137 but unfortunatly the site is down right now. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to implement this. Thanks! -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/using-link_to_remote-to-post-form-values-tf1968151.html#a5402137 Sent from the RubyOnRails Users forum at Nabble.com.

Last char of a string in a list -> list of strings
...the one above, but with only one character (so, the last three data points would become list(H,L,L) I tried > strsplit(gsub("[*_!%0]*","",TADescSub$ExtendedLabel,""),"") but that gives me something like: ... [[2136]] [1] "H" "L" [[2137]] [1] "H" [[2138]] [1] "H" "L" [[2139]] [1] "L" So, what am I doing wrong? /Fredrik -- "Life is like a trumpet - if you don't put anything into it, you don't get anything out of it."

Saving Compile Time in InstCombine
I’m taking a first look at InstCombine performance. I picked up the caching patch and ran a few experiments on one of our larger C++ apps. The size of the *.0.2.internalize.bc no-debug IR is ~ 30M. Here are my observations so far. Interestingly, caching produced a slight but measurable performance degradation of -O3 compile time. InstCombine takes about 35% of total execution time, of which ~20%
