Bug-buddy and bug reports for GNOME 2.16...

Help interpreting output of Rprof
Hello there, I am not quite sure how to interpret the output of Rprof (in the following the output I was staring at). I was poking around the web a little bit for documentation but without much success. I guess if I want to figure out what takes so long in my code the 2nd table $by.total and the total.pct column (pct = percent) is the most helpful. What does it mean that [ or [.data.frame is

OK I've got GNU ld version 2.15.94 20041229 as and ar are the same version number etc. I think the latest release is 2.16. I guess you guys like to stay on the bleeding edge! I'll give it a try with the cfrontend included as suggested, but I'm actually writing a pattern matching compiler for a non-C scripting language and I'm looking for an optimizing back-end such as llvm. [RFC] Canonicalization of unsigned subtraction with saturation
Hi, This message is a result of a discussion of backend optimization for sub(max) pattern(https://reviews.llvm.org/D25987), which can be either converted to unsigned min-max or unsigned saturation instruction(if the target supports it). Currently these versions of the code produce different IR(and we need to manage both types in backend): (1.16) void foo(unsigned short *p, unsigned short max,

Can't install.packages() from local repo in 2.15.2
Hi guys I think there's a high chance this is a bug. But I can't rule out that I can be blamed for this. I've posted this to bugzilla (#15092). Then I read that I probably should have posted it to R-develop first. Sorry for doing this in the wrong order. I've set up a local repo on my local drive (happens to be mapped to L:/). It has the following structure (as per

update for x86_64-put-note-sections-into-a-pt_note-segment-in-vmlinux.patch
Older binutils (prior to 2.16) have a problem with the linker script resulting from the change introducing explicit segment maps. Namely does the respective linker not properly handle @nobits sections (i.e. .bss) sitting between @progbits ones (i.e. .data.*). The .bss section must therefore be moved past all initialized sections (as is already the case on i386). Replacement patch attached. Jan
