I'm totally new to using Wine and for that matter Fedora. I recently installed Wine as a package. I've been trying to run Delphi applications using Wine and everytime I try to run it say that c:\\windows is not accessible. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hello, I wonder if somebody has an idea what could be a reason behind this error message. I am running wine version installed as rpm for Fedora Core: wine-20041201-1fc3winehq. This actually happens for two games, one of them - fallout. I am able to run some windows apps with sound (flash player). I just downloaded the latest version of wine from the site to install on my system. My system is an Athalon XP 2400+ running Fedora Core 3, fully updated. I downloaded the file wine-20050419-1fc3winehq.athlon.rpm and installed it, then installed winetools-2.1.1-jo.i386.rpm to go with it. I started winetools to do the configuration and completed each step of the base install one at a time until I got to the Internet Explorer 6.0 step. At this step it hangs. Greetings, I've tried wine on and off over the course of a few years and there is one problem I always run into that I believe is caused by either my configuration or my window manager. I'm using a stock Fedora Core 3 (fc3) system and currently wine-20041201-1fc3winehq with a default config file. When I run windows applications there is a transparent border around the menubar and all toolbars appx 5 pixels thick. This transparent border will not draw, therefore if you do something like move the window offscreen then back again, it will be filled with bad pixels...

This is my first attempt at using wine and crossover. I want to run two applications Quicken Premier 2003 and Quickbooks Pro 2003. I'm trying to run Xara X either from native windows directory or from local fake windows directory. When I run it from windows dir, I get the splash screen and then it hangs.
