Hi all, I need help, I'm trying to create a windows2000 share drive on mandrake 9.0 and just cannot get the passwords to work. I don't know what to do. can someone help me with the proper way to do this?? Hi, I have a box running Mandrake 8.2 and samba 2.2.4 on an NT domain. smbpasswd -j says it joins the domain ok, I use the included sys-auth-windbind file for pam, and the winbind entries are in nsswitch.conf. Everything appears to be running, but when I try wbinfo -u I get "Error looking up domain users". getent passwd only return the linux accounts. Yet wbinfo -t returns

I can upload most drivers to samba (2.2.6pre). However when it comes to the built-in windows XP drivers I am faced with a dialog box asking for the driver location. I've tried various directories on the cd and inside of windows itself but it constantly puts up an error message saying that no drivers could be found in e:\printers\nt4\i386 no matter what path i choose it seems to revert to

Hi, I've just install samba 2.2 with ldap support, it is working just fine. I've create some samba users using smbpasswd and they are inserted into the ldap directory. But, I was wondering if it was possible to delegate the full authentification process to ldap. That's to say completely remove any information from /etc/passwd? AFAIK, samba should support any quotas the kernel supports, so you should have quota support on Redhat, as long as the filesystems are mounted with quota support. Hi everybody ! I have a problem with the sambaclient when I connect to some client and type ls it lists the directories without the first letter and furthermore it doesn't list them as directory but as file of 0kB. And when I mount the share the filenames are ok. I don't know the type of server that are running those hosts since findsmb don't report anything about them. Thanks
