Error in Fields TPS function {svd ...} again
Thanks for all the helpful responses. I include the data file and the syntax file for reference. Again, if I use the fields function, as is, I get the message: Error in svd(tempM) : error 159 in dsvdc using traceback, I get: > traceback() 4: stop(paste("error ", z$info, " in dsvdc")) 3: svd(tempM) 2: Krig(x, Y, cov.function = rad.cov, m = m, decomp = decomp,

Power Analysis
I am trying to do a power analysis to get the number of replicas per treatment. If I try to get the power it works just fine: setn=c(2,3) sdx=c(1.19,4.35) power.t.test(n = setn, delta = 13.5, sd = sdx, sig.level = 0.05,power = NULL) If I go the other way to obtain the "n" I have problems. sdx=c(1.19,4.35) pow=c(.8,.8) power.t.test(n = NULL, delta = 13.5, sd = sdx, sig.level = 0.05,

aggrete data from combination
Dear R users, A have a dataframe (matrix) with two collumns (plot, and diameter (d)). I want all diameters values for different combination of plots. For example I want all d values for all posible combination, 100C2 (all d values for plot 1 with all d values in the plot 2.......with all d values from plot 1 with all d values from plot 100, ...... with all d values from plot 99 with all d values

Help Regarding 'integrate'
I have an R function defined as: f<-function(x){ return(dchisq(x,9,77)*((13.5/x)^5)*exp(-13.5/x)) } Numerically integrating this function, I observed a couple of things: A) Integrating the function f over the entire positive real line gives an error: > integrate(f,0,Inf) Error in integrate(f, 0, Inf) : the integral is probably divergent B) Increasing the interval of integration

Asterisk 13.5 and higher (asterisk 13.7.2) quitting
I start asterisk 13.7.2 and it dies before I can rasterisk into it. I've tried getting a coredump, but it doesn't coredump. I know there are a lot of errors in the log below, but most of those just say it'll not load a module, and no big deal. When launching from commandline (not service script) here is what happens. http://pastebin.com/3GFe6fG9 Travis Ryan Director of

Siren7 for Asterisk 13.5
> A Siren codec is not currently available and the one for 12 will not > work. I have no timeframe for when this might change. So the only option is to build one from the Polycom sources? I'm already doing this for Siren14 (I forget why).

summarizing replicates with multiple treatments
I have a dataframe with several different treatment variables, and would like to calculate the mean and standard deviation of the replicates for each day and treatment variable. It seems like it should be easy, but I've only managed to do it for one treatment at a time using subset and tapply. Here is an example dataset: > `exampledata` <- structure(list(day = c(1L, 1L, 1L, 1L, 1L,

thanks -- Re: syntax for identifying more than one
HI Greg, Sorry, I misunderstand your question. I am not sure whether it works with numSummary() from library(Rcmdr). You could use other ways, such as: test<-read.table(text=" ?id year incidents ?100??? 1??????? 0 ?101??? 1??????? 1 ?102??? 1??????? 21 ?100??? 1??????? 27 ?101??? 1??????? 3 ?102??? 1??????? 12 ?100??? 2??????? 5 ?101??? 2??????? 5 ?102??? 2??????? 19 ?100??? 2??????? 10

tapply problem
Hello everybody. I have a question that has stumped me and the usual "apply" tricks don't seem to work. I run a course where each student's performance is marked by one or more assessors. I have a data frame containing students' names, assessors' names and their marks, arranged as follows: ID student assessor Q1A Q1B Q1C Q2A Q2B Q3 1 2152833

creating standard curves for ELISA analysis
Hello R guru's I am a newbie to R, In my research work I usually generate a lot of ELISA data in form of absorbance values. I ususally use Excel to calculate the concentrations of unknown, but it is too tedious and manual especially when I have 100's of files to process. I would appreciate some help in creating a R script to do this with minimal manual input. s A1-G1 and A2-G2 are

Time Series
Hi How would I analyse time series with - different lengths (i.e. one has 9 entries and the other has 14 entries) - different frequency (i.e. dates are random - no repeated length) - multiple values for the same time entry (e.g. 2009-10-23 below) i.e. my data takes the form: 1st time series 2009-10-07 0.009378 2009-10-19 0.014790 2009-10-23 -0.005946 2009-10-23 0.009096 2009-11-08 0.004189
