Combined patch fixing queue-state and bug12127 for 1.4.x
...recognize that an agent is busy and keeps trying to
call the busy agent. I have identified two patches that can fix the
problem, one at
http://www.scopserv.com/download/asterisk-1.4.17-state_interface.diff
in thread http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-dev/2008-January/031579.html
and bug no 12127.
I have applied both of them in a test system running 1.4.17 and it
looks okay. But one of the hunk in 12127 had failed and I had to
manually edit the code. I am not sure if what I have done it correct
or not. If some one has a combined patch that addresses both this
issues for 1.4.x series that...

Is there a huge performance difference between using multiple periodically_call_remote functions or one?
My application has multiple things on the interface that need to be
updated periodically. Some things every second, others not so much.
Some of these things are global, meaning they are on the interface at
all times, and some of these things are view specific. So what I
figured I would do is add the periodically_call_remote function for
the global elements and another one for the view

Agents getting "stuck" busy
Having a weird issue with some agents getting stuck busy on my system. Call
will come into the queue and the agent will hit DND, or be DND when the call
comes in (DND being the button on eyeBeam softphone, not a star code).
After the agent comes back from DND they will be "stuck" as busy in the
queue and I have to reload chan_agent.so in order to get them available.

plugin sync in masterless mode
So, I''m reading that this works, but I''m obviously missing something
somewhere, cause its not...
I''m testing a masterless setup, and thus far, pluginsync isn''t doing anything.
my puppet.conf looks like
[main]
vardir = /var/lib/puppet
logdir = /var/log/puppet
rundir = /var/run/puppet
ssldir = $vardir/ssl
classfile = $vardir/classes.txt

Speculative attack mitigations
...hed to these issues. Could I please get some feedback from whoever builds out the kernels; if the mitigations/patches are in place in the 4.9.177-35 kernel for the various speculative mitigations?
Specifically; CVE-2018-3639, CVE-2018-3640, CVE-2018-3646, CVE-2018-12126, CVE-2018-12130, CVE-2018-12127 and CVE-2019-11091.
Many thanks for your response.

ICMP
After the recent attacks on the major servers on the web my ISP has
decided to stop all ICMP messages from his ISP.
I have red the RFCs and it seems that he cant do that... As a result
pings and traceroutes will not work.
I need a friendly person out there to tell me a way to break the news to
him that he has to allow ICMP packets
through his network... any suggestions would be helpfull
