Problems using rfImpute
Hello R-user! I am running R 2.7.0 on a Power Book (Tiger). (I am still R and statistics beginner) I tried rfImpute (randomForest) and as far as I understood should it replace NA`s using a proximity matrix: > set.seed(100000) > Subset5Imputed<-rfImpute(Sex~., data=Subset5) ntree OOB 1 2 300: 11.78% 12.36% 11.21% ntree OOB 1 2 300: 12.07% 12.64%

--- Erhalten von ZBM.ZARBR 089/32000-545 24-02-03 12.07 Hi, I mirror a server installation using rsync 2.5.6 (on both sides) with these options: -a -x --numeric-ids -H --delete --stats -e ssh -z --exclude-from ... This happens every night. In about 80% of the cases rsync returns exit status 12 when trying to transfer a certain file. In the other 20% the file is

[LLVMdev] -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-enable-gcc-optzns status
Current dragonegg svn has all of the -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-enable-gcc-optzns bugs for usage with -ffast-math -O3 addressed except for those related to PR2314. Using the -fno-tree-vectorize option, we can evaluate the current state of -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-enable-gcc-optzns with the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks compared to stock dragonegg and stock gcc 4.5.4. The runtime benchmarks below show that

I just tried the rsync version of R-1.1.0 on one of my alphas: It compiles without problems (gcc/g77 2.95.2, system is DU4.0E) but make check stops in base-Ex.R at > X <- cbind(1, 1:7) > str(s <- svd(X)); D <- diag(s$d) List of 3 $ d: num [1:2] 12.07 1.16 $ u: num [1:7, 1:2] -0.0976 -0.1788 -0.2601 -0.3413 -0.4225 ... $ v: num [1:2, 1:2] -0.198 -0.980 -0.980 0.198 >

Hi Bob, are these performance regressions real? They look pretty serious. Ciao, Duncan. Yes, they are real. I re-ran the two tests with the biggest execution time regressions, and the results were completely reproducible. [LLVMdev] -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-enable-gcc-optzns status
Hi Jack, thanks for these numbers. Can you also please measure compile times? I'm thinking of enabling gcc optimizations by default, but I don't want to increase compile times, which means choosing a value for the -fplugin-arg-dragonegg-llvm-ir-optimize option that is low enough to get good compile times, yet high enough to get fast code. It would be great if you could play around with

database failover
Trying to get dovecot to _only_ use local copy of database, only querying another database server (same database, just replicated) if local copy is not responding, I have google fu'd a bit and found my only answer in so far as dovecot did this once upon as time, but it was only due to a dovecot bug, that has since been fixed, is that so? The wiki shows no information of failover, just load

A 'pretty' function for POSIXt objects
I have written a set of functions for POSIXt objects that I would like to offer for consideration for use in base R. They augment and extend existing functions. Briefly, ## pretty.ct function(x,specs=pretty.ct.specs) ## round.ct function(x, tstr='1 min' ) ## axis.ct function(side,x,specs=NULL,...) ## parse.timeint function(dv) ## parse.tstr

Compressing Maildir mails on delivery
Now supported by v2.0. Also as a patch to v1.2: http://dovecot.org/patches/1.2/zlib-compress.diff I'm not really sure if I should commit it to v1.2 code tree. The code contains ugly copy&pasted io_stream_copy() and v1.2 is supposed to be feature complete.. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
