Potential reboot problem with Polycom IP600 phones
...them to spontaneously
reboot at unpredictable times. It appears that if the amount of current
being delivered to the phone falls below a certain threshold, the phone
will reboot.
Here are the specific circumstances which will trigger this problem.
Standard AC power voltage in Japan ranges between 100V and 110V, as
opposed to the 110V to 120V in the USA. For the vast majority of
business equipment (including every Polycom product we have ever tested)
this is not an issue. However, it is an issue with the IP600. If the
transformer is receiving 100V AC -and- the speakerphone is in use -and-

how to get an overhead paging system to work with respect *, however I am
now looking for a small(?) paging amp, that I could hook 3 or 4 horns to.
I would like to just have the * extention be routed to a soundcard and out
an output, so I would like an amp that is voice signal activated.

Using 'dummy.ups' for a real application, not just testing...
Good Morning,
I am working on setting up a 12V DC UPS that will power a NAS and a router
for a few hours. It contains some lithium-ion batteries, and a BMS to
control charging. Since it is just a dumb box with batteries, it has no
intelligence to inform the NAS of its status. This is where NUT comes in...
I would like to incorporate a Raspberry Pi NUT server into this scheme.
The Rpi can

Inexpensive Layer 3 Switch?
Any recommendations on an economical layer 3 switch? Preferably something that you have hands on experience with connecting to IP phones with attached PCs? Specifically I need the ability to set the VLAN in the phone to tag voice packets and to set a native VLAN on a per port basis on the switch to put the untagged packets from the attached PC into a separate VLAN.
POE is not a requirement
