Function of "matrix"
Dear R project team I used the function of "matrix" as follows: matrix(c(1:3030), 10.1/0.1) However, in the function, matrix, 10.1/0.1 was regarded as 100 not as 101. Therefore, a warning message appeared. On the other hand, matrix(c(1:3030), 101) or matrix(c(1:3030), 10.1*10) was OK. Of course, simply, 10.1/0.1 was successfully calculated. However, In the "matrix"

Using glusterfs for virtual machines with qcow2 images
Hi, we'd like to use glusterfs for Proxmox and virtual machines with qcow2 disk images. We have a three node glusterfs setup with one volume and Proxmox is attached and VMs are created, but after some time, and I think after much i/o is going on for a VM, the data inside the virtual machine gets corrupted. When I copy files from or to our glusterfs directly everything is OK, I've

Using glusterfs for virtual machines with qcow2 images
Chris: Whilst I don't know what is the issue nor the root cause of your issue with using GlusterFS with Proxmox, but I am going to guess that you might already know that Proxmox "natively" supports Ceph, which the Wikipedia article for it says that it is a distributed object storage system. Maybe that might work better with Proxmox? Hope this helps. Sorry that I wasn't able

We use qcow2 with libvirt based kvm on many small clusters and have found it to be exremely reliable though maybe not the fastest, though some of that is most of our storage is SATA SSDs in a software RAID1 config for each brick. What problems are you running into? You just mention 'problems' -wk On 6/1/23 8:42 AM, Christian Schoepplein wrote: > Hi, > > we'd like to use

On oVirt / Redhat Virtualization, the following Gluster volumes settings are recommended to be applied (preferably at the creation of the volume) These settings are important for data reliability, ( Note that Replica 3 or Replica 2+1 is expected ) performance.quick-read=off performance.read-ahead=off performance.io-cache=off performance.low-prio-threads=32 network.remote-dio=enable

Hi Gilberto, hi all, thanks a lot for all your answers. At first I changed both settings mentioned below and first test look good. Before changing the settings I was able to crash a new installed VM every time after a fresh installation by producing much i/o, e.g. when installing Libre Office. This always resulted in corrupt files inside the VM, but researching the qcow2 file with the

Mandrake 10.1
Dear all, I am trying to install the R-2.0.0-1mdk.i586.rpm <http://cran.planetmirror.com/bin/linux/mandrake/10.0/R-2.0.0-1mdk.i586.rpm> file on mandrake 10.1. Since the file is, originally, meant for Mandrake 10.0, it is not surprising me that the installation does not work. The error message that I get can be translated in something like: "impossible to install since the info

SUSE 10.1 64 bit binary
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had created a 64 bit binary for SUSE 10.1 x86_64 yet. Unfortunately, I upgraded before looking whether a package was available and now cannot find a suitable package on CRAN. If noone has produced one yet, does anyone have any idea when one will be available? Many Thanks Daniel Brewer

Suse 10.1 with samba servers 3.0.22 & 3.0.23rc3 only seen by Suse 10.1 samba client as cifs
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have a Suse Linux 10.1 X86_64 server that is destined to work with a mixed bag of OS/2, Windows and Linux clients. For this reason, I have again chosen to use the SMB protocol, which mandates the use of samba. I started with samba 3.0.22, but ran into some glitches so migrated to 3.0.23rc3. My Linux client is running Suse 10.1 X86_32 with samba

problems with R-2.01 build with Mandrake 10.1
I recently installed Mandrake 10.1 on my laptop, downloaded the latest version of R, compiled it and ran it. To my surprise I discovered that the X11() command returned an error to the effect that X was not available. Examining R config.log I noticed that there were several complaints about X and tcl in there. Basic include files, such as X11/X.h were not found. I have previously compiled

hardlink bug in 2.6.4?
The background: I host one of the unofficial slackware mirrors & push to a high speed (unlisted) mirror that several other unofficials use for pulls. To save time/disk/bandwidth I use a custom script to hardlink the trees prior to pushing the updates to said unlisted mirror. The commandline (linewrap from hell, sorry): (note: username/password/hostname/modulename deliberately obfuscated)

Xen 4.0 with Remus on Suse 10.1??
Hello, I am trying to set up a Xen/Remus test configuration on AMD64 hardware (HP DL380 G6) under SuSE 10.1 and am having trouble. I was able to run and configure the Xen 3 that came with SuSE fine, but as far as I can see, I have to use Xen 4 to get Remus. I managed to build Xen 4 from source and it seemed to install, but I am not sure how to get the proper kernel and/or initrd files in place
