Synology shares not accessible...
Hi Rowland, to be clear, I'm completely your opinion. They had a running 4.15.9(-0619, their own build number), which was a Beta, and the released version (-0632) didn't worked. So for me it's obvious, too. I can bring the released version to run with a library from their beta version: libidmap-samba4.so. The reason for this as they wrote: "A key difference between SMB packets 0619 and 0632 is whether the ID map needs to verify the SID ove...

Replacing puppet:// with svn:// ?
I''ve been pondering how to handle our file distribution issues - we''re starting to roll puppet out, and I''d like to get it somewhat right from the start. I''ve been watching the list for a while, and observed ''complaints'' about the speed of the fileserver method when dealing with recursive directories. If I can avoid this, I''d

Synology shares not accessible...
Hi Vincent, in my case access via hostname doesn't work. That seems to be a Kerberos problem, as access via IP works. IP access uses NTLM authentication. With SMB-Service 4.15.9-0619 (was the Beta) it worked, with the released version 4.15.9-0632 not anymore. If you change one library in the released version to the one from Beta (libidmap-samba4.so) then the released version works again. They claim it's because of one SID which can't be dissolved by winbind: S-1-18-1. As I wrote in my last mail, this SID don't exist under 20...

anyone have 0.23.2-1 puppet and puppet-server rpms for rhel4 & 5?
I just upgraded from 0.23.2-1 on RHEL 4&5 to 0.24.1-1. I used Dlutter''s repository. What a mess I''m in now. Anyway to make a long story short I moved all of the old configs out of the way (/etc/puppet, /var/lib/puppet) and started over with a fresh install. I can''t get puppetd on the server to request a cert. If I do a "puppetd -v --waitforcert 90" the
