A shorter version of ".Last.value"?
...t;ans" can be very useful and time-saving, but typing the larger R
version is somewhat clunky and takes away from the usefulness.
Is it possible to reassign '.Last.value' to something simpler, like 'ans' ?
I'm aware of this thread:
http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/00b/1598.html, where a function
such as:
ans <- function() {
return(.Last.value)
}
is discussed, however it would be nice not to have to type the () every
time. Is it possible to change something in R to essentially replace
the location where ".Last.value" has the recent evaluati...

to make 'optim' to do the same thing. Does anyone have an idea?
This is apart from the fact that I would like to use the Levenberg

this: http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/00b/2492.html).
Thank you! All the best,

How is the Gauss-Newton method compared to Levenberg-Marquardt for curve-fitting?
...e the contradiction.
Since some R developers are indeed the pioneers in the optimisation theory, I would like to ask for references involving profiling of various methods, including more modern techniques, with an application in general model-fitting.

Reversing x-axis
Dear all,
I'm making a system to create a star-chart, and I have encountered one of
the intuitive and clearly thoughtful conventions that are so common in
astronomy :-J... Well, the point being, I have to reverse the x-axis.
I figured, I might just set xlim=rev(range(x)). Do e.g.
> x <- 0:5
> y <- (0:5)^3
> plot(x, y)
> plot(x, y, xlim=rev(range(x)))
The problem is that here

Proportional Hazard Function and Competing risks
How can I model coxph() in combination with competing risks
i.e. I have two events and for event the object will leave the data set.
So :
Coxph(Surv(time,event)~....) the event is for all my objects 1.
How can I model this?

Version: 1.5.0
OS: windows 2000, pc
Submission from: (NULL) (138.251.190.17)
I'm finding that nls iterates to the end of its iteration setting and does not
jump out to report convergence even when it has clearly converged. It is also
mis-reporting the number of iterations completed. These may not be
unconnected...
This is an example:

[Bridge] [RFC PATCH net-next 0/5] Add layer 2 miss indication and filtering
tl;dr
=====
This patchset adds a single bit to the skb to indicate that a packet
encountered a layer 2 miss in the bridge and extends flower to match on
this metadata. This is required for non-DF (Designated Forwarder)
filtering in EVPN multi-homing which prevents decapsulated BUM packets
from being forwarded multiple times to the same multi-homed host.

Hi all.
While compiling next code
@A = weak unnamed_addr constant { i32, i32, i32 } { i32 0, i32 0, i32 0
}, section ".data"
was discovered that llc ignores weak linkage if we emit it in COFF object.
Attached patch solves this problem, please review.
I found some similar tests in test/Objects/Inputs. Should I do something
like trivial.ll checking or there is a better way
