Sample size calculation for differences between two very small proportions (Fisher's exact test or others)?
Hi, I'm try to compute the minimum sample size needed to have at least an 80% of power, with alpha=0.05. The problem is that empirical proportions are really small: 0.00154 in one case and 0.00234. These are the estimated failure proportion of two medical treatments. Thomas and Conlon (1992) suggested Fisher's exact test and proposed a computational method, which according to their table

Can't find all levels of categorical predictors in output of zeroinfl()
Hello, I?m using zero-inflated Poisson regression via the zeroinfl() function to analyze data on seed-set of plants, but for some reason, I don?t seem to be getting the output for all three levels of my two categorical predictors. More about my data and model: My response variable is the number of viable seeds (AVInt), and my two categorical predictors are elevation (Elev) and Treatment

package quantreg behaviour in weights in function rq,
Dear all, I am having v.4.36 of Quantreg package and I noticed strange behaviour when weights were added. Could anyone please explain me what if the results are really strange or the behavioiur is normal. As an example I am using dataset Engel from the package and my own weights. x<-engel[1:50,1] y<-engel[1:50,2] w<-c(0.00123, 0.00050, 0.00126, 0.00183, 0.00036, 0.00100, 0.00122,

Hi all I''ve coded a small shop that works well on my dev machine (OSX 10.5). But look at the following page: http://shop.incense.ch/compact_discs/1 When clicking "Reservieren", the page is forwarded to a new page, where the product is added to the shopping cart, and a flash notice is prepare. Then the page is redirected back to the shop page. On my dev machine this works
