Hi, We are having some issues with users trying to access NFS mounted shares via Samba. The issues are random and doesn't happen with all the folders/files within that share. The problematic ones have permission denied message in the Windows client. The files/folders in questions have permissions for the user/group and the backend is LDAP. Is there a guide on how to Share NFS mounted folders for Samba? Regards, RT
Hello Rob, Can you post your smb.conf? Verify too in the logs for errors. The advice is "don't do that" if you can avoid it :-). There are SMB1/2/3 clients and servers for every OS. I'd suggest switching the users over to one protocol.
