I try to export all Samba Account data from smbpasswd to LDAP using pdbedit but get an error message i do not now what to do with: # pdbedit -i smbpasswd -e ldapsam smbldap_search_domain_info: Searching for:[(&(objectClass=sambaDomain)(sambaDomainName=SANDY01))] ldap_initialize: Bad parameter to an ldap routine Connection to LDAP server failed for the 1 try! ldap_initialize: Bad parameter to an ldap routine Connection to LDAP server failed for the 2 try! ldap_initialize: Bad parameter to an ldap routine Connection to LDAP server failed for the 3 try! # the [global] section of the smb.conf looks like: ---------------- [global] workgroup = rzdom netbios name = sandy01 netbios aliases = sandy01a sandy01b sandy01c interfaces = 192.168.2.106/255.255.0.0 bind interfaces only = yes socket address = 192.168.2.106 encrypt passwords = yes debug level = 2 wins server = 192.168.0.17 nt acl support = no ldap admin dn = cn=Administrator,dc=biochem,dc=mpg,dc=de ldap group suffix = ou=group ldap idmap suffix = ou=Idmap ldap machine suffix = ou=Machines ldap ssl = On ldap suffix = dc=biochem,dc=mpg,dc=de ldap user suffix = ou=people passdb backend = ldapsam://ldapmaster1.biochem.mpg.de:389 ------------ the LDAP server is definitely up and running, although has no samba entries yet. any hints?
