samba - Jan 2007 - unable to find the Domain Master Browser name

Hello,

i've having this logs ever since ai started samba on a new server....

it's a sles 10 server wich is supposed to be a part of a w2k3 domain,
here's the conf file:

workgroup = windomain
map to guest = Bad User
printcap name = cups
logon path = \\%L\profiles\.msprofile
logon drive = P:
add machine script = /usr/sbin/useradd -c Machine -d /var/lib/nobody
-s /bin/false %m$
logon home = \\%L\%U\.9xprofile
cups options = raw
include = /etc/samba/dhcp.conf
domain logons = Yes
domain master = No
passdb backend = smbpasswd
security = user
wins support = Yes
os level = 2

nmbd/nmbd_browsesync.c:find_domain_master_name_query_
fail(362) find_domain_master_name_query_fail: Unable to find  the
Domain Master Browser name windomain<1b> for the workgroup windomain.
Unable to sync browse lists in this workgroup.

please, can anyone see something wrong with my smb.conf?

Hi,

This says that master browser is not found, i would suggest you to
configure your samba server as your master browser. Check for the more
details in man smb.conf for "local master" and "domain
master"
