Hello List, I'm evaluating a migration from Windows NT 4.0 to Samba 3.0. Currently its not clear to me whether its possible to do nested groups with samba at all. AFAIK its possible to have Samba resolve nested groups when run as a domain member, but what about a PDC (and a BDC)? So could anybody please clarify this to me? thanks Stefan -- http://www.dreamind.de/ Oroborus and Debian GNU/Linux Developer.

You just have to run winbindd. cheers, jerry ====================================================================Samba ------- http://www.samba.org Centeris ----------- http://www.centeris.com "What man is a man who does not make the world better?" --Balian -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFEkHIDIR7qMdg1EfYRAv1jAJ0ddY0yAgz+gRNXeENymwvc7xNGIACfXaEZ QCnMGIPn4YK+GIhwWYv7w70=pOYo -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

You just have to run winbindd.Hm, and how to do that with LDAP? Use ldapsam and just put nested groups into the ldap server? But how to run winbind then? I thought then nss_ldap would be the "way to do it"... bye Stefan -- http://www.dreamind.de/ Oroborus and Debian GNU/Linux Developer.
