samba - Jul 2005 - Switching servers

I loaded a new server and put it in place today.  It left the domain the 
same as the old server, but when I log in, I cannot get to my local 
profile on the XP machine.  I even made sure that I made the uid the 
same number.  Before I start adding all of the other users, is there 
some way to get past this?

Your domain name may be the same, but does your SID match?  If you have your
old server, depending on the version you may be able to use "net
getlocalsid" to retrieve it, and then you could set it on the new server
with "net setlocalsid <SID>"
