I have upgraded one server to samba-3.0.10 ( Fedora 3 ). On 2 Redhat 8 systems I have the following problem: - when I mount the smb filesystem exported by the server all the directories/files in the mount point remain with owner/group from Samba Server, even if I use uid/gid parameters in mount (samba server is also NIS server). - I tried to update samba on Redhat 8, but it didn't solve my problem, the kernel is 2.6.8.1, on server I have 2.6.11 Still mounting the same export on a Debian unstable I can read/write with uid/gid setted by mount (kernel 2.6.7).
