samba - May 2005 - can I have more than one PDC?

I've read somewhere (Samba Guide and/or HOWTO) that there can be only 
one PDC for a domain.

What happens if I have more than one PDC (they all will use a master 
LDAP server + LDAP slave per each PDC)?

I did some basic testing, and nothing wrong seemed to happen when I set 
up more PDC servers (instead of one PDC + many BDCs) - and it has some 
advantages when there are network problems (my domain controllers and 
clients are separated by WAN/VPN).
