samba - Aug 2004 - Transfering Windows 2000 Active directory system to Samba

Anyone got experience of  Transfering Windows 2000 Active directory system
to Samba, I need to transfer over 1000 users & all of their files to a
Samba, and then setup 2 Thin Client servers to use this system.

All notes/experience very welcome.
