Given that you can't print the postscript test page from cups, this is
where you need to start. Delete the printer and start again - use the
cups configurator (that's what I've had the most success with)

If you have PPD's for this printer, I think that you need to copy them
into /usr/share/cups/model/ppd - at least, that is where I put them on
my system (RH AS 3) - then create the printer - use the newly acquired
printer instead of the foomatic supplied postscript driver.

When you can successfully print the postscript test page, restart samba
and it's likely that things will work after that point.
