----- Forwarded by Nic le Roux/rohlig-grindrod on 2004/02/13 03:42 PM ----- Hi All, I discovered something to be wrong with the file winbind_idmap.tdb. Receive lots of messages saying: Feb 13 15:15:59 rh9printsvr winbindd[4201]: tdb(/var/lib/samba/winbindd_idmap.tdb): rec_read bad magic 0x42424242 at offset=119904 Feb 13 15:15:59 rh9printsvr winbindd[4201]: [2004/02/13 15:15:59, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(724) I stopped smb then proceeded to delete this file (made a backup before doing so) and started smb again. The file was recreated and I havent seen this particular message again. I need to know what happend and what has the deletion of this file caused to happen with the ID mappings ? I am still however getting the following: Feb 13 15:30:15 rh9printsvr smbd[4620]: [2004/02/13 15:30:15, 0] smbd/connection.c:register_message_flags(220) Feb 13 15:30:15 rh9printsvr smbd[4620]: register_message_flags: tdb_fetch failed Anybody knows what this means. I'm running samba-3.0.2rc1-1 Thanks Nic ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer and Confidentiality Note Please click on the link below: http://www.rohlig.co.za/RohligNew/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=31&tabid=132 http://www.pca.co.za/dis.htm http://www.kapele.co.za/KapeleNew/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=19&tabid=112
