Dear All, My SAMBA server is installed in a Linux Redhat machine. I?m using the last version (3.0.2). When editing files from Windows XP, I can save files normally during the first hours of SAMBA operation, but after some hours the saving process begins to fail. I receive messages saying that there is no space on that drive or no privilegy to save. This problem is solved after reinit SAMBA. The cycle begin. Here is some messages from the log: [2004/02/13 10:42:16, 2] smbd/open.c:open_file(246) XXXX opened file XXX/XXX/XXX.doc read=Yes write=No (numopen=4) [2004/02/13 10:42:16, 2] smbd/close.c:close_normal_file(229) Looks to me that the write option should be Yes, since the user have privilegy to save that file. Do you think this can be a bug in version 3.X, since this problem never happen with 2.2.X?? Thanks for any help on this matter.
