samba - Jan 2004 - win2k machines having problems with timeout when accessing ACT! db on server

I moved an ACT! db to samba server, permissions 777, and they can access it
fine, but if they don't use it for a while, then come back, it has locked up
and they have to ctrl alt delete to stop it.

Is there some kind of timeout I can disable(i don't have anything called
"timeout" mentioned in smb.conf)
