[Samba] Active Directory Domain Name with a . causes the guest permissions to fail
Hi All, Got a perfectly working samba 2.2.7 which has guest enabled on the printers so people that visit can plug in and print without having to create accounts etc. this works fine no matter who i log in as and comes up as guest under smbstatus. however, i've had two visitors come across that have been part of a Win2k Active Directory domain or whatever that have access denied when i try to net view the samba server or whatever. it's also the same with our NT4 domain. to get around the problem i did a 'net use \\sambaprint\ipc$ /user:blah' which is sucessful and then they can print. a strange one.... Regards matthew
