samba - Jun 2003 - Connecting over different hosts problem

Hi, i have the network at my house setup like this:

flip (Mandrake Linux 9.0 with samba 2.2.8) (192.168.1.x)
|-stephen-cross (Windows XP) (192.168.1.x)
`-retech (Redhat 7.3 with samba 2.2.8) (192.168.1.x/192.168.2.x/192.168.3.x)
  |-effie-cross (Windows XP) (192.168.3.x)
  `-malia (Windows 95) (192.168.2.x)

ok, my problem is i cant connect to effie-cross or malia from
stephen-cross, I can connect to everything from malia and effie-cross.

all of the boxes show up on all computers, but i cant connect from the
.1.x range to .2.x or .3.x even though i have samba running on the .2.x
and .3.x router. what could the problem be?

(sorry for the bad writing, hope you can understand what i am saying)
