samba - May 2002 - upgraded to 2.2.4 and printing stopped working?

Hi,

  I've just upgraded to 2.2.4 and printing now fails.

The log file contains lines like this

[2002/05/14 14:44:03, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(492)
   tdb(/opt/samba/var/locks/printing.tdb): rec_free_read bad magic 
0x26011999 at offset=57740

does anyone know what this means,
