Hello, I'm trying to use samba (Version 2.2.3a-6 for Debian) as a DC for a windows 2000 pro network. Everything seems to work OK, except the roaming profiles. Every few days (I haven't locked down a pattern yet) all machines connected to the server loose their connection, and no one can connect again until the server is rebooted. I'm using log level 3, and this is what log.smbd repeats endlessly when the server is in this state.... [2002/05/13 19:45:17, 3] smbd/trans2.c:call_trans2qfilepathinfo(1615) call_trans2qfilepathinfo: TRANSACT2_QPATHINFO: level = 257 [2002/05/13 19:45:17, 3] lib/util.c:unix_clean_name(387) unix_clean_name [/S24MUDLL.dll] [2002/05/13 19:45:17, 3] lib/util.c:unix_clean_name(387) unix_clean_name [S24MUDLL.dll] [2002/05/13 19:45:17, 3] smbd/trans2.c:call_trans2qfilepathinfo(1636) call_trans2qfilepathinfo: vfs_stat of S24MUDLL.dll failed (No such file or directory) [2002/05/13 19:45:17, 3] smbd/error.c:error_packet(91) error string = No such file or directory [2002/05/13 19:45:17, 3] smbd/error.c:error_packet(103) error packet at smbd/trans2.c(1638) cmd=50 (SMBtrans2) NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE [2002/05/13 19:45:18, 3] smbd/process.c:process_smb(860) Transaction 49876 of length 92 [2002/05/13 19:45:18, 3] smbd/process.c:switch_message(667) switch message SMBtrans2 (pid 22437) Does anyone know why? That dll file is no where to be found, on the Linux system, or any of the windows 2000 machines. If I should be posting this to a different list please let me know...thanks... I thought I might clarify something about this post: when I say "the server is rebooted" I really mean the samba service, I'm not actually rebooting the whole linux server. Again, if I'm post this to the wrong list, could someone let me know which list I should be posting too?? Thanks! -----[ dana@linuxboxen.org wrote ]----- --> S24MUDLL.dll A google search turns up an ftp site with Citrix ICA for WinCE files for download. The dll is in there. Do you have anything like this on your network? http://www.hitachiserviceusa.com/ftproot/Citrix/ ----------------------- Ben Griffith bgriffit@email.unc.edu -----------------------
