samba - Apr 2002 - euro sign within filename

i have several win nt4 & w2k client machines on my samba 2.2.3a server
(openbsd3.0)
when the clients use filenames which contains an euro sign the filename
gets mangled.. :-(

how can i enable filenames which contain an euro sign ?
