windows machine is able to join the samba server which is the primary domain controller. but on the next time when the system boots it not able to login to that domain. the machine account for that windows machine exist in smbpasswd file, with null password. the global section of smb.conf is ############## [global] workgroup = deepofix netbios name = deepofix server string = samba %v interfaces = lo eth0 bind interfaces only = yes security = DOMAIN encrypt passwords = yes domain master = yes domain logons = yes local master = yes prefered master = yes ############ by running smbd in interactive mode & when there is a login request from windows machine, it says the error get_md4pw: Workstation WKS1: no account in domain. windows machine has windows 2000. samba version is 2.2.3a can anyone help..
