I said (at 3 in the morning, sorry if not in coherent english) - Subject: [Samba] weird pblm-logons stopped working .. logon problem deleted...> Also, can someone tell me what the X in smbpasswd (5) does? > I see documentation for the U,D,M, options, but not for option X > > Mitch B.Mitch answers : Nope. NOTE THE [U ] for this entry Later on. badone:599:ignoreme070EC010AAD3B435B51404EE:ignoremeDB8B3201BA758859D6193C1D :[UX ]:LCT-3CC466E3: NOTICE the nice UX here... on both I did a smbpasswd user password and then a smbpasswd -e user to enable user. SO WHY the UX? and why cant I still get on server as ANYONE? (remember I did try the smbclient with both ID's to verify password was correct.
