Every so often 2 of our Win95b clients looses connection to the samba shares. A reboot or winipconfig release/renew allows them to reconnect again. We get these errors repeated every half hour or so. Any ideas? Thanks Paul -------------- next part -------------- [2002/04/17 11:19:01, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_socket_data(478) read_socket_data: recv failure for 4. Yep, I got this from our DHCP config - 20hrs default-lease-time 72000 max-lease-time 144000 I read somewhere this could be a problem with Win95 without SP1 - but the version in 95B so this patch is already installed on it. I have tried updating the winsock drivers, and am waiting for a support call ;) We had the same problem on another win95 machine, and ended up upgrading it to win98 which cured the problem Thanks, Paul
I'm finding a number of oddball connection problems are solved by populating c:\windows\hosts & c:\windows\lmhosts With the file server name & address. For example: 192.168.10.10 fs1 John Paul Harrington wrote:> Every so often 2 of our Win95b clients looses connection to the samba > shares.
