samba - Apr 2002 - smb_retry : signal failed, error = -3???

Hi

I've use a smbmount command to mount a share folder on Red Hat Linux
6.2  and share it out to all the samba client using the command :

smbmount //linux1/users /usr/share

the command works but after some time it return some error

smb_retry : signal failed, error = -3
i/o error

the only way is to restart the linux box

Please help.

Samba version? If not 2.2.3a, try upgrading it. Your problem is that 
smbmount has exited (crashed if you didn't stop it yourself)

On a RH6.2 you probably also have some old kernel and upgrading to at 
least the latest 2.2.x is recommended.
