samba - Apr 2002 - Multiple connections to IPC$ share

I have about 50 W2k and win9x machines using a Samba 2.2.1a 
box as a PDC for file/printer sharing. One of the W2k pc's 
will make multiple connections to the IPC$ share and one of 
these samba processes will then start using up a lot of the 
server's CPU until I kill it. This only happens with one 
client machine. 

Any ideas what causes this ?
