[Samba] Linux is not seeing my NT domain servers
I've been trying to get SMB working on my RedHat Linux 7.2 server so I can use SMB as an authentication method for Apache Web Server. I have got Samba 2.2.3a installed, but apparently not configured correctly since when I try to mount a shared network drive on one of my NT servers to my Linux server, I can not see any servers at all minus the Linux server itself. Could someone give me information on what I need to configure and how I do that so I can check the settings I have done? Thank you, Brett Ussher ITS Matrix Maricopa Community College District brett.ussher@domail.maricopa.edu
You should start with the sample smb.conf that is included and read the smb.conf manpage. Also read all the information included in the docs folder. If you have a more specific question, post your smb.conf and any errors in your log files. -- Brian ----- Original Message ----- From: <brett.ussher@domail.maricopa.edu> To: <samba@lists.samba.org> Sent: Friday, April 05, 2002 10:53 AM Subject: [Samba] Linux is not seeing my NT domain servers I've been trying to get SMB working on my RedHat Linux 7.2 server so I can use SMB as an authentication method for Apache Web Server.
