Do you need to be on a certain version of samba to make this feature work??
I'm using v 2 on AIX with an NT network.

Hi
You can map NT users to Linux users with one of the
samba tags "username map".You need to set the value of
this tag the path of the file where u have mapped NT
users to Linux users.The file should be in this format
Linux user = NT user
or
Linux group = @NT group
for eg:-
In your smb.conf file
username map=/root/map.dat
The contents of the map.dat should be as follows
root = administrator
xyz=@abc
