Yesterday I got an error while I was trying to connect: -------------------------------------------------- C:\>net view \\10.10.10.197 The server is not configured for transactions. More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 2141. -------------------------------------------------- Log /var/log/samba/samba.log.ambox shows the following error: -------------------------------------------------- [2002/03/06 09:41:14, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(565) ambox (10.10.10.12) Can't change directory to /tmp (Permission denied) -------------------------------------------------- I checked permissions of /tmp, which seems to be good: -------------------------------------------------- root:/usr/src# ls -dl /tmp drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 4096 Mar 5 20:41 /tmp -------------------------------------------------- Did anybody face the same problem in the past? BTW: OS is Linux From Scratch V3.1 ( Kernel 2.4.16 ) and Samba 2.2.2 Thanks for any advice Rolf -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
