[Samba] Saving files with Opera to a Samba share, printing
Hello! Whenenver I try to save a downloaded file with Opera [6.x] to a Samba share [2.2.x], Opera (and also the windows-explorer) freezes. Having set log-level to 1, I get the following message after a while. Sometimes, but not always, Opera continues working after 30seconds or so. I have the same behaviour in Samba 2.2.2, 2.2.3a and 2.2.4-pre. My Server is running SuSE 7.3 with the 2.4.16 Kernel. ----- [2002/03/05 00:37:46, 0] smbd/oplock.c:oplock_break(788) oplock_break: no break received from client within 30 seconds. oplock_break failed for file windows.32/Driver/printer/HP/LJ2200/pointAndClick.ps/lj986ge.exe (dev 1601, inode = 23050, file_id = 24109). [2002/03/05 00:37:46, 0] smbd/oplock.c:oplock_break(833) oplock_break: client failure in oplock break in file windows.32/Driver/printer/HP/LJ2200/pointAndClick.ps/lj986ge.exe [2002/03/05 00:37:46, 0] smbd/reply.c:reply_lockingX(4403) reply_lockingX: Error : oplock break from client for fnum = 13309 and no oplock granted on this file (windows.32/Driver/printer/HP/LJ2200/pointAndClick.ps/lj986ge.exe). ----- Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? You have done a nice job to the printing feature in the today's 2.2.4-pre: I have had problems with 2.2.3 and 2.2.3a in combination with the MS-printing wizard in w2k (didn't see my printers- couldn't upload drivers or use uploaded drivers). Those problems seem to be solved and my network is running great now...
