Hello, Thanks for all the help so far. I've got nmbd and smbd so they're running now, not being blocked out by my firewall however nmbd is still unable to sync browse lists with my domain master browser, which i don't have as i'm in a workgroup and i'd like samba to be the master browser. I have enabled wins support see smb.conf below. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks. Dave. [2002/02/21 03:43:09, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(783) Netbios nameserver version 2.2.3a started. Hi, I do not have an nt4 wins server. My network right now has one router/gateway with ipfilter on it. This machine also has the samba server which has home directories on it, though i plan on moving them to another box soon. I also have one win2ksp2 laptop running 2k professional. Dave. Also, if you have servers on different subnets and the subnets are connected using routers/gateways, you may need to enable something on the routers. I know that for sure with Cisco routers. -- Fernando Maior Infokeep Informatica Ltda fmaior@bigfoot.com +55+31 3282-7009
