I am running Samba 2.2.3a on Solaris 8 with NT4 and windows 2000 clients
(both NT4 and w2k have the same problem). I have a situation where by I have
a windows NT application installed onto the samba share. When i try to start
the application it crashes with an error complaining that it is unable to
read a file. The debug log shows the following with relation to the file

I have no trouble opening the same file on the PC with notepad. I have also
used samba2.0.0 with solaris 2.6 and NT4 with the same application for quite
some time with no issues of this nature. If i downgrade the samba software
to 2.0.5a it works on NT4 clients but not windows 2000.
This same problem was previously posted back in december with Samba 2.2.2
and the following reply was given: -

This is a bug I fixed in 2.2 CVS, it should be fixed in 2.2.3. Check out the
CVS to be sure. Jeremy.
Any feedback on this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks
