samba - Nov 2001 - Bad Authorization

Hello,

I'm trying to setup Samba 2.2.1a via swat and when I enter the root name and
password I keep getting the '401: Bad Authorization' error.  I've
created
the root name and password via smbpasswd at it still won't work.  Any
suggestions?

SWAT authenticates against /etc/passwd (not smbpasswd). You may
need to explore --with-pam.
