Russian name of the files and dirs from Win98 client
Anybody know how to do access to the russian name of the files and directories from Win98 client machine? For example dirs name: /usr/local/samba/shares/????? ??? ????? /usr/local/samba/shares/????????? I am create a share '????? ??? ?????' on the SMB server and from WinNT machine I am accessable to this folder. But from Win98 I am not accessable to that folder. The Win98 browser can not find russian folder. When folder name is english - access all right on Win98. When folder name is russian - access is not work on Win98. I have been used Samba 2.0.6 and Samba 2.2.1a. Vladimir Parkhomenko mailto: vlad@nkmz.donetsk.ua

And try to create the filename from both Windows 9x and Windows NT/2000 on the Samba share and check the written filename on UNIX. These 2 filenames are probably different. ----- TAKAHASHI, Motonobu(monyo) monyo@samba.org Personal - http://home.monyo.com/ Samba Team - http://samba.org/ Samba-JP - http://www.samba.gr.jp/ JWNTUG - http://www.jwntug.or.jp/ Analog-JP - http://www.jp.analog.cx/ MCSE+I, SCNA, CCNA, Turbo-CI
