Bugreport 2.2.0 "delete veto files" causes "PANIC: internal e rror"
Hi tony, yes, it is fixed in Samba_2_2 as well as HEAD. Don> I found out, that using the global option "delete veto files" causes the > smbd client to die with an internal error, when the Windows client tries > to delete a directory containing veto files.Have a quick look at: http://bugs.samba.org/?findid=21666 Seems to be that the bug is fixed in the HEAD CVS. I don't know if that means it has been backported to SAMBA_2_2 Yours Tony. /* * "The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the * same level of thinking we were at when we created them." * --Albert Einstein */ -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba

That's right Bernard, Fix was put into the 2.2 CVS around Aug. 11th. So it's not gonna be in 2.2.1a; it will be in the upcomming 2.2.2 release, or you can pull the latest CVS, and compile that. Hope this helps, Don -----Original Message----- From: Bernard M. Piller [mailto:bernard@piller.at] Sent: Wednesday, September 19, 2001 12:47 PM To: 'MCCALL,DON (HP-USA,ex1)'; 'Anthony J.
