samba - Sep 2001 - Win2k password sync

Greetings 

I am having a problem with the password sync for Samba2.2.1a .Although I seem to
have activated all the relevent options in the smb.conf file, Win2K client gives
an error stating that the old password is not correct.

Have you checked your passwd chat parameter? This parameter has to be set on a
case by case basis, as Samba uses the Unix passwd program to change a user's
password; Samba doesn't have any internal Unix method to change the
password. Here's an example of what I use on my Red Hat 6.1 system:

YMMV, depending upon which version of Unix you are using. Have a good one!
