Samba 2.2.1 IRIX 6.5.12 log level 1 Folowing an upgrade from samba 2.0.7 to 2.2.1, I got now this error: smbd/connection.c:yield_connection(62) yield_connection: tdb_delete failed with error Record does not exist. and I can't connect from my clients. My smb.conf file is the same as the older version and it used to work fine. What is different between those two versions and how can I make it run again in 2.2.1 ? Hello Marceau, Is this the ONLY error you get in the logs? And does it happen every time (no clients can connect) or does everything work for a while, and then you get this error and no MORE clients can connect? If it never works for ANY client, then do the following; 1. set log level = 10 , and log file = /usr/local/samba/var/log.%m in smb.conf 2. make a connection attempt 3. when it fails, copy the log.machinename file to a safe place, and send it, as well as your smb.conf file to me to look at. Also send me the machinename of the pc you tried to connect with, and the username you were using. I'll see what I can find out. Hi there, I have searched the archive in hopes of learning the significance of this message appearing in smbd.log, but the discussion centers around whether or not it is a bug in error logging. In my log, each message has an IP associated with it and so ??? I'm a newbie (blush) running redhat 7.2 (2.4.7-10) with samba. I am using IP Masquerading with a firewall. .................. Log sample: [2002/04/28 13:33:35, 0] lib/access.c:check_access(320) Denied connection from (www.xxx.yyy.zzz) [2002/04/28 13:33:35, 0] smbd/connection.c:yield_connection(62) yield_connection: tdb_delete failed with error Record does not exist. ..................... Each pair of messages comes from a different IP. Some are traceable back to hostnames (via HOST), some are not.
