redefinition of "print command" not working, usign defaults
Hi, I have the following trouble with samba 2.0.5a, I have defined my printers as follows: in the global section: printcap name = /etc/printcap load printers = yes printing = lprng print command =/usr/bin/lpr -U%m -P%p -r %s;echo %m %M>>/var/log/samba/printlog lpq command = /usr/bin/lpq -U%m -P%p lprm command = /usr/bin/lprm -U%m -P%p %j lppause command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%m hold %p %j lpresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%m release %p %j queuepause command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%m -P%p stop queueresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%m -P%p start And then in printers section: [printers] comment = All Printers path = /var/spool/samba browseable = no guest ok = yes writable = no printable = yes Printing works OK, but I don't get any messages in the printlog file and lprng task is not marked as comming from machine %m, it looks as samba is using the default "print command" value. testparam shows the previous line as expected from the smb.conf. I need a method to identify the machine where the print job is originated. Any suggestions? -- Ing.
