Yes.
Samba 2.0.7 is the latest released version, and it has a number of fixes
that make it much more compatible with win2k clients.

NOTE: several 'default' smb.conf parameters (notably the security= share
is
now default to security = user) have changed from
1.9.16 to 2.0.7 - you might want to run testparm against your 1.9.16 and
save off the results, to compare to what you get from
2.0.7, to make it consistent.
